Worst Blogger Ever

Well, it's official. I am a lame blogger. It's been 3 months since my last post. And, I'm only writing now to get Rich to quit nagging me. Well not much has happened with us, except that Halle has doubled in age since the last time I wrote (she is almost 6 months old!). Time flies.

Rich is finishing up his 3rd year of dental school (only 1 more year, WAHOO!!). So it's now time to start thinking about where to set up practice. We will most likely end up in southern California near Mission Viejo, but we have talked about possibly staying in Arizona for a few years. Who knows. If anyone has any dental connections, pass them along!!

I am Rich's Sugar Mama. I am working 2 days a week in Urgent Care and I really like it. It's great to be able to bring home the bacon doing something you love. Praise be the day when Rich brings home his first paycheck of our married life together!! Ha ha. He has been in school since we got married, so I will cut him some slack.

Rich and I got ourselves a new digital camera for Christmas this year (well pretty much I got the camera and Rich didn't get a gift), so I have signed up for some photography classes. I start this week and I'm excited. Hopefully you'll see some better pictures on our blog coming up.

Here is an update on Halle's favorite things/new tricks:
1. She can hold her own bottle (as of yesterday!).
2. She LOVES her jumper. She'll jump for an hour straight if we let her.
3. She loves her super soft blankie. When I lay her down for bed she grabs the blanket and pulls it so it covers her face. I'm pretty sure that's against the rules of parenting, but oh well.
4. She has been sitting up on her own now for a few weeks. She is one strong baby!

Well, here are the latest pics of Halle. Enjoy the shrine!

Every Rose Has It's Thorn...

Rich & I went to an 80's dance for Valentine's Day. Rich looks like a creep! Many of you may remember my sweet dress from Halloween's passed. We were there with our friends the Evans, Porters, and Whiteners.

Day at the Park

Yuma-licious

Where's Yuma, you say? Pretty much in Mexico. Brandon (my brother) is playing baseball in an independent league down there and my family came in town so we all drove down to watch him play. For those of you who are wondering, Brandon called it quits with the Cubs a few months ago because they only wanted him to pitch, and he wants to play 3rd base (not to mention his elbow isn't up for the demands of pitching). So he's trying his luck in an independent league to see if he can get picked up by another major league team as a 3rd baseman. He's doing really well in the leauge right now, so we'll see. In the pictures, you will see my mom and dad, Brandon, and his daughter Oakley.

Photo Shoot!

I tried out our new camera on Halle for a photo shoot. I got some good shots, but you can definitely tell I'm an ameteur. Hopefully you'll see the picture quality improve over the next few months.

New Christmas Outfit

Halle got this great outfit compliments of Grandma Polly. We laugh when she's in her hat because she's so bald that she looks like an old man.

Halle, Week 9 & 10

Finally we caught some smiles on camera!!

Halle, Week 8

Halle, Week 8

Well I just had to show a naked picture of Halle to show off her fat belly. At her 2 mo. well check appointment, she weighed in at 13 lb. 2 oz., which puts her in the 95th percentile for weight!! She was also in the 95th percentile for her head size (thanks to dad!). May I just remind everyone that I gave birth to this baby!?!?

Happy Halloween!

Rich went dressed up as Christian Hosoi, a legendary 80's skater. I was boring and didn't dress up, which is quite uncharacteristic since Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. It was just too much after having a baby I guess. Halle went as a bear in hibernation because she slept during the entire night.

Halle, Week 6 & 7

Halle is getting to be more and more fun! She is so much more interactive now and is actually smiling! It is so fun to see her start to notice things in her surroundings.

Halle--Week 5

Halle--Week 4

Halle says Hi!!

Halle has gotten really good at flipping the bird! She especially seems to like doing it when dad is around. I'm pretty sure that's proof of who's her favorite.

Biggest blowout ever!

Okay, just so you understand how crazy this blowout was, I'll explain. I was changing her diaper and while her legs were lifted in the air she pooped and it literally came out in a jet stream! It was so powerful that it hit the lid of the wipe warmer 1 1/2 feet away, got all over the mirror and wall and down the dresser. Rich and I could not stop laughing!

First time all dressed up!

Girls are way too much fun!
